March 7th - Spring Career Fair
On March 7th, 2023 DCTC hosted our annual Skilled Trades career fair at Woodhaven High School. Students from all nine of our area high schools attended the event which included 22 companies and unions looking to hire motivated and qualified students into their career pathway. Amongst the long term employers who have been hiring students from DCTC, Ben Carlson from SW Industries stated "SW Machines hires up to 4 Mechatronics Apprentices per year and will soon launch a CNC Apprenticeship. We lean heavily on our local CTE Programs, like the DCTC, to help foster that initial love of Industrial Trades and provide a solid foundation for our Apprenticeship Programs. The DCTC Mechatronics Program has become a staple in our Applicant Outreach process. Every year we hire at least one of the DCTC Mechatronics Graduate to join our Apprenticeship Team.
