Mechatronics

The CTE Mechatronics Program prepares students to apply mathematical and scientific principles to the design, development, and operational evaluation of computer controlled electro-mechanical systems and products with embedded electronics, senses, and actuators, and which includes, but is not limited to, automated robots and automation systems. Instruction includes mechanical engineering, electronic and electrical engineering, computer and software engineering, and control engineering.

Application Form Required

 

The Ford Flat Rock Assembly Plant program may be taken as a dual enrollment college program. Prospective students are required to complete and submit an application form to their high school counselor to be considered for enrollment into this program. More information and application form can be found under the Parents/Students tab.


The Mechatronics Program is offered at the following locations:

  • Airport High School
  • Ford Flat Rock Assembly Plant in conjunction with Southgate Anderson High School

Additional Credit Requirements for Graduation:

This state-approved CTE program may meet additional graduation credit requirements, including:

  • Mathematics/Final Year Math-Related
  • Online Learning Experience
  • Science
  • VPAA (Visual, Performing, and Applied Arts)
